One of our client is the world's leading manufacturer of packaging production lines. These lines, designed for the flat cardboard, corrugated cardboard, flexible packaging, and self-adhesive label markets, are produced at around twenty sites worldwide. In addition to its production lines, our clients offers its customers a wide range of services as well as digital products and solutions. With 6,100 employees around the world, the company is present in more than 50 countries, in addition to its headquarters in Mex, Switzerland.
We are looking for a Field Service Technicians who can reinforce the service team of our label printing product line for the region. The label printing product range includes both state-of-the-artflexo, digital and combined label and converting presses.
Position Summary and Main Responsibilities
• The Field Service Technician is the front-line representative for our client label Business
• The Field Service Technician provides repair, installation, relocation, troubleshooting, customer education, training, preventive maintenance, general support for Bobst machinery installed
• The Field Service Technician works closely together with the international technical support team
• The Field Service Technician provides accurate feedback and reporting once the customer problem is solved – both to the customer and the internal organisation.
Competencies, Skills and Personal Attributes
• More years of professional experience in a field service environment
• Have mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills in repair and maintenance
• Have a good technical understanding of the mechanical drawings and basic knowledge and interpretation of the electrical, pneumatical diagrams and machine layouts
• Work carefully, with attention to detail and being solution oriented
• Being able to work both independently as in a team
• Feeling comfortable using Office 365 and excellent use of the laptop
• Frequent travel throughout the region required
• Candidate must be able to obtain a valid passport
Education and Languages
• Technical education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, major in label printing technology is a plus.
• Speak and write fluently in local language and in English. Any additional language is a plus
• More years of related technical experience, in a similar role, ideally within the printing and converting equipment industry. Experience with digital inktjet printing is a plus
