JOB SUMMARY :
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to develop clothing collections for baby and kids wear, from concept development to finished products. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of garment construction and fashion development processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS :
- Designing baby and kids apparel and linens, including developing concepts, sketching designs, and preparing technical specifications
- Selecting fabrics and trims, collaborating with production teams
- Overseeing fittings to refine garment construction
- Ensuring designs meet quality, comfort, and safety standards
- Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration
- Coordinating with merchandising and marketing on seasonal collections
- Maintaining organized design documentation throughout the development process
REQUIREMENTS :
- Strong fashion design skills, including Fashion Design and Fashion, with the ability to create age-appropriate, functional designs for babies and kids
- Experience working with Textiles, including knowledge of fabric properties, comfort, durability, and suitability for children’s products
- Proficiency in Embroidery and decorative detailing, with an eye for safe and practical embellishments for baby and kids wear
- Hands-on Fitting experience, including working with samples, adjusting patterns, and collaborating with production to achieve proper fit
- Ability to use design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator or similar), create technical drawings, and prepare clear specifications for manufacturing
- Attention to detail, strong sense of aesthetics, and commitment to product quality and child safety standards
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams on-site
- Relevant education in Fashion Design or a related field, and prior experience in children’s apparel or related categories is an advantage
