Core Responsibilities:
1. Government Relations Management:
-Establish and maintain long-term cooperative relationships with various levels of Indonesian government departments (Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Environment, local governments, etc.).
-Record changes in mining-related policies and regulations to ensure the company's compliant operation and mitigate policy risks.
-Lead the application and renewal of key documents such as mining licenses and environmental impact assessment reports (AMDAL).
2. Community Relations and Conflict Resolution:
-Develop Community Relations (CSR) plans, manage relations with communities surrounding the mining area, and prevent and resolve disputes related to land and the environment.
-Maintain communication with community leaders, NGOs, and tribal representatives to ensure projects receive social approval.
3. External Relations and Crisis Management:
-Represent the company at government meetings, industry forums, and media events to maintain the company's image.
-Handle public emergencies (such as protests and environmental controversies) and develop contingency plans.
Job Requirements:
1. Required Qualifications:
◦ Indonesian citizenship, fluent in Indonesian and Chinese, and fluent in English (written and spoken).
◦ Bachelor's degree or above, with a preferred major: Public Relations, Law, Political Science, Finance and Economics, Mining Engineering, or related fields.
◦ 3+ years of experience, with at least one of the following backgrounds:
◦ Experience in Indonesian mining/industrial companies or government relations;
◦ Management of community relations projects in a high-conflict area (Sulawesi).
2. Core Competencies
◦ Familiarity with Indonesian laws and regulations.
◦ Possession of a government network and understanding of the administrative system's operational rules.
◦ Possession of cross-cultural communication skills, able to balance company interests with the demands of community/religious groups.
3. Bonus Points
◦ Proficiency in the local language or familiarity with indigenous customs
◦ Adaptability to frequent business trips to remote mining areas and ability to handle high-pressure negotiation scenarios
◦ High integrity, no corruption record (background check required)
◦ 8+ years of experience in handling government agency relations.
