ERP Functional Analyst – Finance & Back Office

About the Role
We are looking for an ERP Functional Analyst – Finance & Back Office to help design and develop Swing’s internal ERP and back-office systems.
This role sits between Finance/Accounting, business operations, Product, and Engineering. You will be responsible for understanding how financial transactions and business processes work, mapping the end-to-end financial cycle, and translating those processes into structured system workflows and requirements.
The ideal candidate does not need to be a programmer or database specialist. What matters most is the ability to understand how money flows into and out of a business, how financial processes connect to each other, and how those processes should work when translated into a system.
Responsibilities
- Understand and map end-to-end financial flows, including revenue, payment, AR/AP, expenses, settlement, refund, and reconciliation.
- Analyze how financial transactions connect across different business processes and cycles.
- Translate business and finance processes into ERP workflows, business rules, system requirements, and functional specifications.
- Gather and clarify requirements from Finance, Accounting, Operations, and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to ensure the system reflects the intended business and financial logic.
- Support functional testing, UAT, and validation of system outputs.
- Identify process gaps, edge cases, and opportunities for automation and improvement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in ERP Functional, Business/System Analysis, Finance Systems, Accounting Systems, or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and finance business processes.
- Able to understand how money flows into and out of a business and how the financial cycle connects end-to-end.
- Able to translate business processes into system workflows and requirements.
- Strong analytical and process-mapping skills.
- Basic understanding of APIs, system integration, or data flow is a plus, but advanced technical knowledge is not required.
- Experience with ERP or finance-related systems is highly preferred.
Key profile: Someone who understands how money flows through a business and can turn that financial process into a scalable ERP/back-office system.
