Job purpose
- To provide optimal level of care in accordance to established policies and procedures.
- To assist in activities and programs promoting healthy aging for clients.
- Supervise Nursing Team comprising of Nursing Aides and Healthcare Assistant to ensure optimal delivery of required care to the clients.
Duties and responsibilities
- Comply with approved Nursing SOPs.
- Work with multidisciplinary team to analyze and evaluate nursing care plan and ensure care plan is implemented by team.
- Identify symptoms of clients related to illness or decline in functional/cognitive abilities and advocate early attention.
- Mentor and guide, NAs and HCAs in performing their functional duties.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist client to manage common age-related conditions such as incontinence and loss of mobility.
- Assist Registered Nurse as when required.
- Other additional operational duties as assigned by Nursing Manager or Centre Manager.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Nitec in Nursing
- Registered with SNB
- Experience working in an elderly setting is an advantage
- Compassion, critical thinking, and organizational skills
