Our English 1 group, YHA, is currently based in 7 cities in Sumatra: Batam, Bengkulu, Jambi, Medan, Palembang, Binjai and Pematang Siantar. For those with both ability and ambition, this means there are great career opportunities as we continue to grow.
What will you do as a Teacher?
· Teach English to children ages 3-18 in a variety of our core classes with your regular students, and then more unique activities such as Life Clubs, school trips, marketing events, and cultural events.
· Maintain ongoing records, scores, and progress reports related to your classes, including Parent-Teacher Meetings and placement tests for new students.
· Continuous professional development through in-centre training, collaborating with other teachers, and learning through our online training system.
· Conduct placement tests and demonstration lessons at our events, on school visits, and at malls within Siantar.
Job requirements for Teacher?
· A bachelor’s degree in any field (an Education/English degree or TEFL certification will be advantageous)
· A minimum C1 level of proficiency as shown through our EFSet or IELTS/TOEFL
· Preference given to those already resident in Siantar, however we are also open to teachers with high potential relocating from other regions.
· A passion and patience for working with children, and overseeing their long-term development
· The ability to work with and develop each other as a team, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment
· Clean criminal background check
· Teaching experience is an advantage
