Candidate criteria

Position: English Curriculum Developer / Curriculum Specialist

Main responsibility:

1. Develop a structured 6-month English curriculum for Elementary
2. Create learning objectives and progression for each level/month
3. Design lesson topics, activities, exercises, and assessments
4. Ensure curriculum is practical, engaging, and age-appropriate
5. Align lessons with students’ English proficiency and learning outcomes
6. Create teacher-friendly lesson plans/materials
7. Develop assessment tools to measure student progress
8. Work with the academic/teaching team to revise and improve the curriculum

Must-have:

✅ Strong background in English language teaching and curriculum development

✅ At least 3–5 years of experience in English education/curriculum development

✅ Experience designing curriculum, syllabus, lesson plans, or teaching materials

✅ Strong understanding of CEFR / English proficiency levels is a major plus

✅ Excellent English communication and writing skills

✅ Able to create clear, structured, and practical teaching materials

✅ Understanding of how to build progression over a 6-month learning journey

✅ Experience working with schools, language centres, or educational institutions

Nice-to-have:

✅ TESOL / TEFL / CELTA / DELTA / MA TESOL or relevant qualification

✅ Experience developing curriculum for young learners / elementary students

✅ Experience training or supporting teachers

✅ Familiarity with project-based, communicative, or student-centred learning

✅ Experience creating assessments and rubrics.
