Engineering Manager – Theme Park
Citaria is currently supporting our client, a leading company in the entertainment and recreation industry, in recruiting an experienced Engineering Manager – Theme Park.
This role is responsible for leading engineering operations, ensuring ride safety and reliability, and managing maintenance strategies to support seamless theme park operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all engineering and maintenance activities across the theme park.
- Ensure all rides, attractions, and technical facilities operate safely and reliably in compliance with regulations and company SOPs.
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Oversee daily engineering operations, breakdown response, and technical troubleshooting.
- Manage and develop engineering teams, including supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
- Plan, control, and monitor engineering budgets, including maintenance and CAPEX projects.
- Coordinate with operations, safety, and external vendors to support park readiness.
- Conduct safety inspections, technical audits, and risk assessments.
- Prepare engineering performance reports and improvement plans for management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in engineering or maintenance, preferably in theme parks, amusement parks, hospitality, or large facilities.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and ride safety systems.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Familiar with safety regulations, preventive maintenance systems, and asset management.
- Willing to work in a shift-based and operational environment.
