About the Role
We are looking for passionate and experienced Physics & Chemistry Tutors to help students prepare for the EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students).
As an EJU Preparation Tutor, you will help students strengthen their subject knowledge, develop problem-solving skills, and prepare effectively for the EJU through structured lessons and practice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and structured online lessons for EJU Physics and/or Chemistry.
- Explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to students' learning needs.
- Provide guidance on EJU-style questions and problem-solving techniques.
- Help students identify and improve their academic weaknesses.
- Conduct practice sessions, discussions, and mock tests when required.
- Track students' learning progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare or utilize relevant learning materials based on the EJU syllabus and students' goals.
Requirements
- Strong academic background in Physics and/or Chemistry.
- Previous experience teaching Physics or Chemistry, preferably at high-school or university-entry level.
- Familiarity with the EJU syllabus, examination format, and question types is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Able to explain complex concepts in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.
- Comfortable teaching students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Good command of English; Japanese proficiency is a plus.
- Available to teach online on a flexible schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing students for EJU, Japanese university entrance exams, AP, IB, A-Level, or other international examinations.
- Relevant bachelor's degree or higher in Physics, Chemistry, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working with international students is an advantage.
