Ecommerce Manager — Shopify & Digital Merchandising
Island Honey | Bingin, Bali
Position: Part-Time, with potential to grow into a full-time role
Location: Hybrid — Remote + occasional visits to our Bingin boutique
Schedule: Approximately 15–20 hours per week
About Island Honey
Island Honey is an independent fashion and lifestyle boutique based in Bingin, Bali, bringing together a colorful, thoughtfully curated collection of clothing, swimwear, accessories, and unique finds from around the world.
With an established physical boutique and a newly launched international online store, we're looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and commercially minded Ecommerce Manager to help us grow our digital presence.
We're looking for someone who doesn't just know how to manage a website, but understands how to make an online shopping experience beautiful, engaging, and successful.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the day-to-day management, merchandising, and ongoing optimization of our Shopify website.
This is a hands-on role for someone who combines technical Shopify knowledge with a strong visual eye, an understanding of fashion retail, and a genuine interest in growing online sales.
You'll work independently, collaborate with our boutique and marketing teams, and help shape how Island Honey comes to life online.
Key Responsibilities
Website Management & Merchandising
•Manage and regularly update our Shopify website.
•Upload new arrivals, including product photography, descriptions, pricing, sizes, and variants.
•Create and curate collections, seasonal edits, and featured product selections.
•Refresh homepage banners, layouts, and featured products.
•Maintain a visually cohesive, intuitive, and engaging online shopping experience.
•Ensure product availability and inventory information remain accurate.
Ecommerce Growth & Optimization
•Monitor website traffic, conversion rates, customer behavior, and sales performance.
•Identify opportunities to improve product discovery, customer experience, and online sales.
•Optimize product listings, navigation, and basic SEO.
•Monitor checkout functionality and troubleshoot website issues.
•Prepare weekly performance updates and actionable recommendations.
Campaigns & Creative Collaboration
•Coordinate website updates with marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotions.
•Create landing pages and featured collections for new drops.
•Assist with email marketing campaigns and automated customer journeys.
•Work with our boutique team to coordinate new arrivals and product information.
•Contribute creative ideas to strengthen Island Honey's online presence.
What We're Looking For
•3+ years of hands-on ecommerce experience, ideally with a fashion, accessories, or lifestyle brand.
•Strong working knowledge of Shopify, including product management, collections, inventory, and analytics.
•Experience in digital merchandising and ecommerce optimization.
•A strong aesthetic sensibility and an understanding of fashion retail.
•Proficiency in Canva or similar creative tools.
•Familiarity with SEO, email marketing, and ecommerce performance metrics.
•Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management.
•Strong written English communication skills.
•Ability to work independently, take initiative, and bring ideas to the table.
Bonus Points
•Experience with international ecommerce and shipping.
•Familiarity with Klaviyo, Shopify Email, or Meta advertising.
•Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
•Experience working with independent fashion boutiques or emerging brands.
•Basic product photography and content editing skills.
