Qualification:
- Proven experience as a gardener or landscaper, preferably in a hospitality or luxury property setting
- Strong knowledge of tropical and subtropical plant varieties, particularly those suited to Bali's climate
- Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of garden equipment, including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers and irrigation systems
- Understanding of pest management, disease control and plant nutrition principles
- Physical fitness and ability to perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high aesthetic standards
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work
Job Description:
- Maintain all garden areas, including planting beds, lawns, hedges and ornamental plants through regular watering, pruning, weeding and fertilising
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, hedge trimming and pathway maintenance to preserve the visual appeal of outdoor spaces
- Monitor plant health and identify signs of disease, pest infestations or nutrient deficiencies, implementing appropriate treatment measures
- Prepare and manage soil conditions, including composting and soil amendment, to ensure optimal growing conditions for plants
- Assist with seasonal planting and garden design implementation to support landscaping projects and seasonal updates
- Maintain garden tools and equipment in good working order, including cleaning, sharpening and safe storage
- Ensure outdoor areas are kept clean and tidy, including removal of debris and litter
- Work collaboratively with the wider grounds and facilities team to ensure consistent standards across all villa properties
