Position Summary:
Drone Engineer is responsible for supporting end-to-end drone operations, including research, data analysis, pilot training, and technical troubleshooting. This role ensures the reliability and performance of drone systems through maintenance, repair, and compliance with operational standards. The position also involves customer engagement through trials, as well as administrative responsibilities such as reporting, auditing, and claims handling.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and data analysis for drone operations
- Train and support drone pilots, including troubleshooting
- Perform trials and demonstrations with customers
- Maintain and repair drones, gensets, and batteries
- Monitor SOP compliance and audit team performance
- Handle claims administration
- Perform hardware maintenance and documentation
- Prepare regular work reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 1 year experience in drone operations and system maintenance
- Familiar with QGroundControl and Mission Planner
- Experience with DJI Agriculture & XAG drones preferred
- Able to operate drones and hold pilot certification
- Skilled in soldering and electronic assembly
- Analytical, reliable, and innovative
- Good communication, teamwork, and project management skills
- Fast learner, adaptable, and able to work on-site with flexible hours
- Proficient in English
