Drafter

Bali Dreamcraft is a French-founded villa development company. We build investment-grade villas for international buyers, with full cost transparency. We have 5 active construction sites and 10+ projects planned for 2026. We are building our in-house design capability. This is a full-time position, not freelance.

THE ROLE

You own design across all our projects. Concept through construction drawings, then support on site until the villa is delivered.

Our villas are typically 120 m² and upwards. They have to do two things at once: be beautiful enough that clients fall in love with them, and be efficient enough to make sense as an investment. Most architects manage one of the two.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Concept design and 3D visuals for client presentations

· Complete construction drawing sets: architectural, dimensioned, buildable, not renders that fall apart on site

· Produce and check drafting work; as we grow, manage external drafters and junior architects

· Coordinate with structural and MEP engineers

· Material and finishing specifications precise enough to be priced and ordered

· Design that respects the plot: orientation, light, prevailing winds, privacy, views, drainage

· Design within the target cost, from the first sketch, the budget is a design constraint, not someone else's problem

· Full compliance with KDB, KLB, KDH, setbacks and local zoning; support PBG and SLF applications

· Site attendance when a detail needs resolving, and answers to site questions within the day

· Revisions from client feedback, handled quickly and without drama

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

· 5+ years designing residential or villa projects, with built work in Bali or a comparable tropical context

· A portfolio of completed buildings, photographs of finished projects, not only renders. This is required

· Strong sense of volume, light and proportion

· Tropical detailing that survives Bali: waterproofing, overhangs, ventilation, materials that don't degrade in two rainy seasons

· AutoCAD and SketchUp required; Revit, Lumion, Enscape or equivalent an advantage

· Fast and accurate. We produce several projects in parallel, output matters as much as vision

· Real working knowledge of Indonesian building regulations, PBG and SLF

· Good English, written and spoken (required). French is a plus

· You respond to messages and you meet deadlines
