About the role
We are seeking a Direct Procurement professional to join PT. Milenial Solusi Internusa in a full-time capacity, based in South Tangerang, Banten. This role is integral to our supply chain operations, responsible for managing the procurement of direct materials and services that directly support our manufacturing and logistics operations. As Direct Procurement specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring cost efficiency, quality assurance, and timely delivery of materials essential to our production processes. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operational excellence and profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for direct materials and components required in the manufacturing process
- Develop and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favourable terms and quality agreements
- Manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate specifications, quantities and delivery schedules are communicated to suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance against quality, delivery and cost metrics, addressing any deviations promptly
- Conduct market analysis and cost benchmarking to identify opportunities for savings and process improvements
- Collaborate with operations, engineering and quality teams to understand material requirements and resolve procurement-related issues
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts and supplier communications
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures and relevant regulations
- Forecast material demand and manage inventory levels in coordination with production planning
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise procurement processes and reduce lead times
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in direct procurement, materials management or supply chain roles within manufacturing or logistics sectors
- Proven track record in supplier selection, negotiation and relationship management
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, supply chain principles and inventory management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate supplier proposals and cost data
- Proficiency in procurement software systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy in documentatio
- Knowledge of quality standards and certifications relevant to manufacturing (e.g. ISO standards) is preferred
- Fluency in Indonesian and English is essential
