The National Institute of Education (NIE) invites applications for a Digital Skills Trainer position in the Digital Solutions Department (DSD). The IT Trainer is a pivotal role in DSD to propagate future-ready digital skills in NIE such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA using UIPath and Power Automate), Data Visualisation (using Tableau), Low code development (using Outsystems and Microsoft Power Suite) and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Digital Skills trainer to augment the digital core teams in educating and supporting NIE Staff and Students and leading IT training activities. Strong communication skills are required with the ability to collaborate with the IT team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions for staff via a virtual platform such as Microsoft teams, Zoom etc. or face to face and demonstrate IT products or applications during training.
- Collaborate with the IT team to prepare the training materials and handbook for IT products or applications and schedule training.
- Regularly update and maintain the training materials.
- Conduct the students' orientation programme on IT services for new intake students every semester.
- Coordinate with different team members to update the orientation documents/slides every semester.
- Prepare presentations in Word/ PowerPoint slides/ videos etc., to make effective and engaging presentations.
- Provide consultancy on digital implementations to NIE staff through regular clinic sessions.
Requirements:
- A Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Info-communications, or equivalent.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- A strong team player and growth mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Good team player, able to work with tight deadlines and fluid requirements.
Other Information
NIE staff can take chartered buses at their own expense from or near their home to the NIE campus. This is subject to the availability of seats.
