The Cafe Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Mates Coffee Jakarta, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining product quality, supervising staff performance, and supporting the achievement of sales and operational targets. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure a smooth and efficient café environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Operations
* Supervise daily café operations and ensure smooth workflow.
* Ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed properly.
* Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and overall store appearance according to company standards.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
2. Team Leadership
* Lead, motivate, and support baristas and service staff.
* Assign daily duties and manage work schedules.
* Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and performance.
* Conduct on-the-job training and provide coaching to team members.
* Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
3. Customer Service
* Ensure guests receive excellent and friendly service.
* Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
* Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and encourage repeat visits.
4. Inventory and Cost Control
* Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages.
* Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and supplies.
* Minimize waste and control operational costs.
* Assist with stock counting and inventory reconciliation.
5. Sales and Business Performance
* Support the achievement of sales targets and profitability goals.
* Promote upselling and suggestive selling techniques among staff.
* Monitor daily sales performance and report operational issues to management.
* Assist in implementing marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
6. Administrative Duties
* Prepare daily operational reports and shift reports.
* Record incidents, maintenance issues, and customer feedback.
* Coordinate with suppliers and other departments when necessary.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* Minimum Diploma degree or equivalent.
* At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
* Knowledge of café operations, customer service, and inventory management.
* Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
