DevOps Engineer (Project Based 6 Bulan)
About the Role:
We are looking for DevOps Engineers to own the infrastructure layer of our Redis Enterprise project. You will be responsible for provisioning and managing the environments in which our Redis clusters run — from development setups to production-grade configurations. You will also handle day-to-day cluster operations, assist with migration activities, and grow into broader ownership over time under the guidance of a senior colleague.
Job Description:
- Design, provision, and maintain server-based environments hosting Redis Enterprise clusters
- Manage networking, DNS, and connectivity between clusters, load balancers, and application services
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure-as-code deployments
- Set up and operate monitoring, alerting, and logging stacks (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Maintain environment parity between development, staging, and production infrastructure
- Assist in provisioning and configuring Redis Enterprise cluster nodes under the guidance of the Senior Redis Administrator
- Monitor cluster health, performance metrics, memory usage, and replication status
- Support data migration activities — running and monitoring RIOT replication jobs and Replica Of sync status
- Execute data validation scripts post-migration and report findings
- Manage routine cluster operations — database creation, configuration updates, user and ACL management
- Document operational procedures, runbooks, and cluster configuration decisions
- Respond to monitoring alerts and escalate where appropriate
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in a DevOps, infrastructure, or systems engineering role
- Solid working knowledge of Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes and OpenShift
- Comfortable with Linux system administration and shell scripting
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure; though AWS is preferable)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible or Terraform
- Understanding of networking fundamentals — ports, DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls
- Experience setting up observability stacks for stateful services
- Prior exposure to Redis or other in-memory data stores is advantageous but not required
Plus Points:
- You have a bachelor's degree in computer science or informatics
- You have deployed or managed Redis, Memcached, or similar caching infrastructure before
- You understand how stateful workloads behave differently from stateless ones in containerised environments. Extra plus point if you have set up or maintained monitoring for a stateful service before.
- You are comfortable reading REST API documentation and scripting against APIs to automate operations
