Interior Designer – Design Award-Winning Spaces in Bali

Our villas are carefully crafted environments where luxury, sustainability, and cultural respect meet. Now, we’re looking for a talented Interior Designer to help bring that vision to life through award-winning interiors.
The Role
As our Interior Designer, you will bring NueState’s design vision to life through thoughtfully crafted interiors aligned with our brand, client preferences, and sustainability goals.
You will work closely with our architecture, procurement, and construction teams to design spaces that are functional, beautiful, and suitable for both private living and the villa rental market. From concept development to final styling, you will oversee every detail to ensure excellence in execution.
Key Responsibilities
Concept & Design Development
- Develop interior concepts aligned with NueState brand standards and project briefs
- Create mood boards, color palettes, material selections, and furniture layouts
- Present design concepts and revisions to the Head of Design, CEO, and clients
- Integrate sustainable and locally sourced materials where possible
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with architects, procurement, and contractors to ensure design intent is executed
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and schedules for interior elements
- Coordinate FF&E procurement with the procurement team
- Oversee installation and final styling to ensure flawless delivery
Quality & Brand Alignment
- Maintain NueState’s design identity while tailoring spaces to client needs
- Source innovative, durable, and high-quality finishes within budget
- Ensure interiors meet European-quality standards and rental market requirements
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Participate in client meetings to capture preferences and feedback
- Support sales and marketing with visuals and presentations
- Support NueState’s “We Care” sustainability initiative through design decisions
What You Bring
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Interior Designer (high-end residential, hospitality, or luxury real estate preferred)
- Portfolio: Strong track record of stylish, functional, and well-detailed interiors
- Skills: Excellent design sensibility, material knowledge, and project coordination
- Technical: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge: Sustainable design and tropical climate considerations
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities
- Passion: Love for design excellence, craftsmanship, and purposeful spaces
