About the Role
CYBERTREND is one of the leading data science and AI consultants in Indonesia, helping organizations across banking, financial services, government, healthcare, retail, logistics and more turn data into real business impact. We are now growing a new line of business, Data Security, to help our clients keep their data protected and compliant as they scale with Data and AI.
As a DATA SECURITY ENGINEER, you will be one of the founding members of this new team. You will design, implement and support Data Security, Data Privacy, Data Governance and AI data security solutions in our clients’ on-premise and cloud environments, support presales activities such as demos and Proof of Concepts (PoC), and help shape the standards and best practices of our Data Security practice.
We are looking for someone with:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Informatics Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Data Security, Cyber Security or Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience implementing data security solutions in cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premise environments.
• Good knowledge of Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), data discovery & classification and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• Understanding of access control, Identity & Access Management (IAM), encryption, data masking and tokenization.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL / NoSQL), data warehouses / lakehouses (e.g. Databricks) and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of data security regulations and standards such as Indonesia’s PDP Law, ISO 27001, NIST and OJK regulations.
• Scripting skills (Python / Bash / PowerShell), plus experience with APIs and system integration.
• Basic networking and operating system knowledge (Linux / Windows).
• Interest in AI Governance and data security for AI, and a habit of keeping up with the latest threats and trends.
• Certifications such as a Data Security vendor certification (e.g. Securiti), CompTIA Security+, CEH, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, IAPP CIPT / CIPM or Cloud Security (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud) are a plus.
The work you’ll do:
• Analyze clients’ technical needs and current data security condition.
• Deliver product demos and technical presentations together with the Sales team, and run Proof of Concepts (PoC).
• Prepare solution designs, technical specifications and technical documents for tenders.
• Install, configure and integrate Data Security solutions with clients’ data sources.
• Perform data discovery and classification of sensitive data and personal data (PII).
• Apply access policies, data masking, encryption and data activity monitoring.
• Help clients comply with Indonesia’s PDP Law, including data mapping, consent management and data subject requests.
• Handle troubleshooting and technical issues based on SLA, coordinate escalations with principals, and perform regular health checks, patching and upgrades.
• Support clients in handling security incidents or data breaches, including analysis and remediation recommendations.
• Give technical input to the Product Manager on integrating Data Security with Cybertrend’s Data and AI products.
• Build implementation documentation, assessment reports, and the best practices, templates and methodologies for our Data Security practice.
• Share knowledge with the internal team and deliver transfer of knowledge or training to clients when needed.
