Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, monitor, and maintain machine learning and statistical models to understand and predict customer behavior and credit risk.
- Use predictive modeling and analytics to manage credit risk and optimize growth in various business domains, including risk management, fraud prevention, marketing, customer experience, and collections.
- Design and execute A/B experiments with proper statistical test and analysis.
- Ability to create reusable production level end-to-end data pipeline to generate features using DBT is a plus
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business problems into actionable data-driven solutions.
- Work closely with the leadership team to design data products to achieve business objectives, supporting new product development and enhancing customer experience.
- Collaborate and initiate innovative data science projects to advance financial inclusion.
Qualifications
- Master or Bachelor degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a data science role and managing machine learning models in production, ideally in fintech, banking, lending, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques, predictive modeling, clustering, classification, and optimization algorithms.
- Fluency in Python and SQL
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Metabase, Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of financial and lending industry concepts and regulatory environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, combined with strong business acumen.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex data, context, and implications to non-technical stakeholders.
