Data Product Manager
Xendit is an Indonesian fintech company that provides payment infrastructure across Indonesia. Xendit processes payments, runs marketplaces, disburses payroll and loans, detects fraud and helps other businesses grow exponentially. We serve these companies by providing a suite of world-class APIs and a dashboard UI that simplifies processes.
Our main focus is to build infrastructure for Indonesia, with a clear goal in mind — to make payments in Indonesia simple, secure and easy for everyone. We currently serve local SMEs to some of Indonesia’s largest tech startups and also giant-sized businesses like Samsung. We process millions of transactions monthly, growing 25% month on month for the last 2 years. We are trusted and backed by some of the largest VCs in the world, who invested in Facebook, Slack, Twitch and Grab, and are alumni of the prestigious YCombinator (S15).
At Xendit, Product Managers help build innovative products for our customers. Product development is an extremely collaborative effort between engineering, design, analytics and customer-facing teams. You’d be joining a team of experienced Product Managers who have a track record of successfully building large-scale business and consumer products that are collectively impacting millions of users around the world.

We’re looking for a data product manager to build B2B data products that help make the payments ecosystem more efficient, safe and secure.
Outcomes
1. Build products that customers want
- Understand customers’ needs and translate into technical requirements
- Prioritize features based on impact to customers and expected growth
- Develop MVPs based on the available data and third-party sources
- Determine resources necessary to build your vision and build a roadmap to get there
2. Guide strategic data research, partnerships and acquisition
- Understand the industry and present business cases for partnerships, major features, or new integrations
- Understand the regulatory landscape and the constraints or opportunities that this creates
- Organise activity to acquire new sources of data, whether through primary acquisition, third party partnership or other channels, in order to create defensible strategic advantage
3. Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed
You may be a good fit if
1. You can transition between big-picture thinking and small data product features to develop products in the roadmap that build towards a long term goal
2. You obsess over understanding client needs through research, interviews and more
3. You can balance quantitative and qualitative factors in your decision frameworks
4. You have a nose for how data can be acquired, combined, transformed or re-shaped to best answer clients’ needs both now and in the future
5. You are technical enough to be able to create data product MVPs yourself with simple 80:20 analysis using, for example, Python, SQL and more
6. You can translate between product goals and technical requirements for data scientists and engineers and can objectively evaluate the performance of product created using your knowledge of data science, statistics, and machine learning
7. You do whatever it takes to make your product and team successful, whether that means writing a QA plan or meeting with clients to understand their needs
8. Beyond shipping new products, you obsess about continuous product improvement
9. You have five years of product development experience, with a few specifically in data product and/or product management
10. You thrive on autonomy and have proven you can push towards a goal by yourself

Saya melamar di suatu perusahaan, dan tinggal tahap terakhir saya utk ttd kontrak yaitu background checking. Dan ketika saya tulis gaji terakhir saya di sistem perusahaan tsb, saya memberikan jawaban gaji saya yg awal. Jd pekerjaan saya skrg ini, terdapat perbedaan gaji. Awalnya saya digaji 6jt tp saya dipindahkan ke departement lain dan gajinya dikurangi 1jt. Tp saya menuliskan gaji terakhir saya di sistem perusahaan tempat saya apply adalah gaji yg 6jt.
Dan salah satu syarat background check melampirkan slip gaji, saya terlanjur menulis 6jt.
Dan juga setelah slip gaji, dll saya kirimkan ke hr tempat saya apply, hr tsb akan mengirimkan email ke direct atasan saya.
Pertanyaan saya:
1. Bagaimana saya menyikapi perbedaan gaji terakhir yg saya tulis di sistem mereka dengan slip gaji saya yg 5jt itu?
2. Ketika saya bilang ke direct atasan saya sekarang ini perihal background checking dari tempat yg saya apply, apakah yg harus saya ucapkan ke atasan saya skrg ini padahal saya belum ajukan resign?
