Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Process, transform, and manage large volumes of data efficiently.
• Perform data validation and ensure data quality across data workflows.
• Develop and maintain automated workflows using Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
• Collaborate with internal and client teams to understand business requirements and deliver effective data integration solutions.
• Optimize database queries and improve data pipeline performance.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of cloud data warehouse solutions.
• Apply data governance, data quality, and data discovery best practices throughout the data lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma (D3) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficient in Python and SQL for data processing and automation.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including Advanced Query, Joins, Common Table Expressions (CTE), and Window Functions.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
• Experience using Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar ETL/workflow orchestration tools.
• Familiar with cloud data warehouse platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Discovery, and Data Validation concepts.
• Knowledge of database query optimization.
• Familiarity with BigID or similar data governance platforms is an advantage.
• Experience working with Linux is a plus.
