Job Description
Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support SAP data integration and reporting requirements.
Perform data extraction from SAP and other source systems, transform data based on business rules, and load data into target databases or data warehouses.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL workflows to ensure efficient data processing.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve ETL job failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Perform data cleansing, validation, mapping, enrichment, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Manage SQL databases, including schema design, indexing, and basic query optimization.
Collaborate with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams to gather data integration requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including ETL mappings, process flows, data dictionaries, and SOPs.
Ensure ETL processes comply with data governance, security, and company standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in ETL, Data Integration, Data Warehouse, or Data Engineering.
Experience in developing ETL solutions involving SAP data.
Proficient in SQL, including joins, aggregate functions, subqueries, and basic window functions.
Experience managing SQL databases, including schema, indexing, query optimization, and database connectivity.
Hands-on experience with one or more ETL tools such as:
Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle)
Talend Data Integration
Strong understanding of end-to-end ETL concepts, including:
Data extraction
Data transformation
Data loading
Data cleansing
Data mapping
Data enrichment
Error handling and reconciliation
Familiarity with SAP data structures and SAP integration is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience creating technical documentation, including ETL mappings, workflow diagrams, and SOPs.
Willing to work in a dynamic project environment and meet project timelines.
