Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining security systems, developing and implementing security measures, and performing regular security audits. Your expertise will be vital in implementing and improving security systems, cyber incident detection and response, and developing effective metrics to measure security performance.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Monitor operations and infrastructure by reviewing dashboards, alerts, and logs daily to maintain digital security footprint.
• Configure and maintain security and related platforms and infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, Firewalls, Endpoint and Email Security.
• Develop, update, improve and implement security measures and controls, incident response, disaster recovery, data loss, and business continuity plans.
• Secure digital files and information systems.
• Perform regular internal and external security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Develop effective and measurable metrics (KRI, KPI, KCI).
• Build and lead incident monitoring and response.
• Monitor and report compliance against policies and appropriate standards.
• Recommend and implement security improvements and controls.
• Maintain security procedures and policies.
• Develop, promote, and improve security awareness.
• Support the implementation of the cybersecurity strategy.
• Support client security audits.
• Ensure security is considered and embedded in every aspect of the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of international work experience as a Cybersecurity engineer or similar role including Cyber incident response.
• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with and present to senior stakeholders.
• Strong work ethic and integrity: Dependable, accurate, and thorough, with a proactive and responsive approach.
• Growth-oriented mindset: Curious, adaptable, and passionate about cybersecurity, always seeking improvement opportunities.

Preferred:

• Certifications in Infosec (e.g. CISM, CISSP, etc), ISO 27001 (Certified Auditor or Lead Implementor), Pentesting (e.g. CEH, GPEN, OSCP, etc), Cloud Security (CCSK, Cloud+, GCSA, or CCSP).
• Other relevant certifications: ITIL, PMP, Prince 2, TOGAF, Agile, or DEVOPS.
