Deskripsi pekerjaan Customer Service Supervisor (Export/Logistics) Haiyetong
Job Title: Customer Service Supervisor (Exports / Chemical Logistics)
Industry: Specialized Shipping Line / Chemical & Energy Supply Chain
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are a niche, rapidly growing shipping line and logistics provider specializing in end-to-end chemical and energy supply chain solutions. Our core services cater to multinational petrochemical producers, oleochemical & palm oil refiners, and key energy sector leaders across Indonesia and the region.
To support our accelerating operational footprint, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Customer Service Supervisor (Exports/Logistics). In this pivotal role, you will act as the operational bridge connecting our commercial clients, customer service personnel, and ground operations teams. You will work closely alongside the Operations Manager to oversee fleet utilization (dry containers & ISO tanks), ensure export service excellence, and maintain rigorous safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Account Coordination: Supervise the day-to-day export customer service workflow, overseeing end-to-end booking execution, vessel nominations, documentation accuracy (B/L, COO, PEB), and timely milestone updates to tier-one industrial clients.
Operations & Fleet Support: Assist the Operations Manager in monitoring the positioning, turnaround, and inventory balance of the container and ISO tank fleet across domestic depots, terminals, and loading hubs.
Cross-Functional Bridge: Coordinate directly between customer service desks, trucking vendors, depot operators, surveyors, and field operational teams to ensure seamless cargo clearance, stuffing, loading, and on-time dispatch.
Specialized Cargo Handling: Oversee compliance with liquid bulk chemical, hazardous/DG cargo, and oleochemical transport protocols, ensuring MSDS verification, proper tank technical checks, and adherence to client-specific safety standards.
Issue Resolution & Escalation: Act as the first escalation point for operational bottlenecks, port congestion delays, demurrage control, and billing discrepancies, driving swift resolutions to safeguard customer satisfaction and cost efficiency.
Reporting & Tracking: Prepare regular fleet utilization logs, operational KPIs, export shipment summaries, and customer performance reports for management review.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, shipping line operations, or liquid bulk/ISO tank logistics, with at least 1–2 years in a senior, lead, or supervisory capacity.
Fleet & Equipment Knowledge: Solid understanding of containerized export procedures, depot operations, and equipment control; hands-on exposure to ISO tanks and liquid bulk chemical/oleochemical cargo is strongly preferred.
Regulatory & Documentation Acumen: Well-versed in Indonesian export customs processes (CEISA, PEB), port terminal procedures, and international maritime documentation.
Language Proficiency:
Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and verbal) for professional client correspondence, stakeholder alignment, and documentation.
Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (verbal and written) is an advantageous asset for liaising with regional principals, overseas partners, and equipment suppliers.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership, vendor management, and crisis-handling capabilities under tight shipping schedules.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or an equivalent technical discipline.
What We Offer
Competitive compensation package commensurate with industry experience.
Medical insurance and comprehensive employment benefits.
High-impact exposure to large-scale supply chain operations within leading petrochemical, palm oil, and energy industrial corridors.
Fast-track career growth within an expanding, specialized shipping network.
