Job Description:
We are looking for a Creative Coder with a passion for creating interactive and engaging web experiences. You will work on a variety of creative coding projects involving animation, sound, color, typography, and more. Your role will include building immersive, dynamic web visuals and interactive experiences that are high-performing and visually stunning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop visually compelling animations and interactive visuals using JavaScript, CSS, and SVG.
- Implement smooth page transitions, scroll effects, and dynamic animations using libraries like Barba.js and GreenSock (GSAP).
- Work with sound design, colors, and animations to create an immersive user experience.
- Develop experimental typography and creative visual elements for the web.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to bring creative concepts to life using modern web technologies.
- Optimize code for performance and smooth experiences across various devices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in creative coding, libraries, and interactive web development.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and animation libraries, including but not limited to GreenSock (GSAP), Three.js, p5.js, Tone.js, Pixi.js, and Barba.js.
- Experience with smooth page transitions, parallax effects, and SVG/CSS animations.
- Familiarity with creative coding concepts involving color, sound, and motion, drawing inspiration from platforms like Domestika and Superhi.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, WebGL, and Canvas API.
- Experience with interactive sound manipulation and integration with JavaScript.
- Ability to implement complex visual effects, creative transitions, and typography techniques.
- Familiarity with animation and typography libraries mentioned in courses like Superhi's "Animation for the Web," "Smooth Page Transitions & Effects," and Domestika's "Creative Coding with JavaScript."
- Knowledge of web performance optimization and responsive design principles.
Preferred Experience:
- A portfolio showcasing creative coding projects, especially those with interactive visuals, sound design, and experimental typography.
- Experience in smooth page transitions and navigation using Barba.js.
- Background in working with sound-driven animations, visualizers, or WebGL-based experiments.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with advanced animation techniques using Canvas, particles, and shaders.
- Familiarity with 3D model rendering and WebGL-based interactions.
