About the Role
Otazen is a growing furniture manufacturing company opening an opportunity for a Cost Accounting professional to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for recording, analyzing, and reporting production costs, including Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM) calculations, manufacturing cost control, and management of the company's fixed assets. The main objective is to ensure production cost efficiency, financial reporting accuracy, and oversight of company asset usage and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate the Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM) for each product based on raw material costs, direct labor, and factory overhead; analyze production cost variances (standard vs. actual) and report the analysis to management
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual production cost reports, and develop and update standard production costs (standard costing)
- Assess production process efficiency from a cost perspective and monitor production expenditures
- Analyze and report raw material usage and labor efficiency, and coordinate with PPIC and Production teams to validate output data and material consumption
- Support the annual budgeting process related to production costs
- Record, inventory, and oversee the company's fixed assets (machinery, equipment, vehicles, etc.), and manage fixed asset data in the accounting system, including depreciation and asset movements
- Conduct periodic asset stock opname and prepare the results reports
- Ensure all assets are properly registered, labeled, and used according to their function
- Collaborate with relevant departments on the handling of damaged or missing assets
Requirements
- Minimum S1 degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting and financial systems, as well as cost accounting and cost management
- Understanding of COGM calculation methods and cost variance analysis
- Knowledge of furniture manufacturing production processes (wood, finishing, upholstery)
- Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and depreciation
- Proficient in Odoo software and general computer operations
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
