About the Role
We are looking for a creative, patient, and enthusiastic Cooking Teacher to introduce children to the fun and exciting world of cooking.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and can create fun, hands-on cooking experiences that are safe, educational, and age-appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct fun, interactive, and age-appropriate cooking classes for children.
- Teach children basic cooking skills, kitchen techniques, and food preparation.
- Prepare simple and engaging recipes suitable for different age groups.
- Demonstrate cooking techniques clearly and guide children throughout the cooking process.
- Introduce children to different ingredients, flavors, textures, and basic kitchen tools.
- Encourage children to participate independently while providing appropriate guidance and supervision.
- Ensure proper food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety during every class.
- Prepare ingredients, recipes, and teaching materials before each class.
- Create creative cooking activities based on different themes, seasons, or children’s interests.
- Adapt recipes and teaching methods according to the children’s age and skill level.
- Maintain a fun, positive, and safe learning environment.
- Communicate with the team regarding class activities, recipes, and children’s progress.
- Assist in developing new menus and cooking class concepts.
Requirements
- Background or experience in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Baking, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching or working with children is preferred.
- Passionate about cooking and enjoys working with kids.
- Creative and able to develop fun, simple, and kid\-friendly recipes.
- Patient, friendly, energetic, and engaging.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Able to work independently and collaborate with a team.
- Culinary certificates or relevant qualifications are a plus.
- Portfolio, examples of previous work, or teaching experience is a plus.
