Nova Wellness Ubud is a wellness facility offering Gym, Sauna, Hammam, Cold Plunge, and Swimming Pool services. We are looking for a passionate, responsible, and dedicated Kitchen Staff / Cook to join our team and support our food and beverage operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Prepare and cook food according to the menu, recipes, and company standards.
- Assist in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and serving preparation.
- Maintain food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Ensure proper food hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Manage ingredient preparation, storage, stock rotation, and food labeling.
- Monitor ingredient freshness, food expiry dates, and portion control.
- Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
- Maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations in good condition.
- Follow food safety standards and proper food-handling procedures.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team and service staff to ensure timely food preparation.
- Assist with stock checks and report ingredient shortages to the Supervisor or Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience as a Cook, Kitchen Staff, or Commis Chef is preferred.
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and food safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Responsible, disciplined, honest, and detail-oriented.
- Willing to learn, follow recipes, and maintain company standards.
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Culinary education or food-handling certification is an advantage.
