About the Role :
Gentem Lifelong Learning Group is looking for a creative and hands-on Video Editor & Content Creator to join our team. You will be responsible for producing engaging visual content across our education brands, from shooting and editing videos to developing creative content ideas for social media. You’ll work closely with internal teams to turn ideas, campaigns, events, classes, and testimonials into high-quality content that connects with our audience.
What You’ll Do :
- Shoot and produce photo and video content for Gentem brands, including social media content, events, classes, and testimonials.
- Edit short-form and long-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
- Handle video editing from raw footage to final output, including subtitles, pacing, transitions, sound, and basic motion graphics.
- Develop creative content ideas, hooks, scripts, and visual concepts based on brand direction and social media trends.
- Create simple visual assets and carousel content using Canva.
- Coordinate content production and shooting schedules with internal teams.
- Ensure content is produced consistently and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Organize and maintain raw footage, edited videos, and other content assets in an accessible system.
- Stay updated with social media trends, formats, and content styles to continuously improve content quality and engagement.
What We’re Looking For :
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Video Editor, Content Creator, or in a similar role.
- A strong portfolio showcasing video editing and social media content.
- Proficient in CapCut or similar video editing tools.
- Able to shoot photos and videos using a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or mobile phone.
- Good understanding of lighting, framing, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Able to create engaging hooks, pacing, subtitles, transitions, and basic motion graphics.
- Familiar with Canva for creating simple visual assets and carousels.
- Good understanding of social media platforms, trends, and content formats.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple content projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in the education industry is a plus.
