About Role
The Communication Manager leads the development and implementation of strategic communication initiatives to strengthen SUMMIT Institute for Development's visibility, credibility, and organizational reputation. The role ensures effective communication of research activities, program achievements, and organizational impact to diverse audiences, while maintaining consistent messaging and compliance with donor communication and visibility requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, and content development skills, including the ability to translate research and technical information into accessible messages.
- Proven experience in managing websites, social media platforms, and digital communication campaigns.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, coordination, and project management skills.
- Experience in research institutions, public health, NGOs, or development organizations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with donor branding and communication requirements is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication strategies and plans aligned with SUMMIT's organizational goals, research activities, and program objectives.
- Lead the development and dissemination of communication materials, ensuring consistent branding, accurate messaging, and appropriate content across platforms.
- Communicate research findings, program achievements, and organizational impact through engaging and accessible content for diverse audiences.
- Manage media relations, stakeholder engagement, website, social media platforms, and digital communication campaigns.
- Coordinate communication activities for organizational events, workshops, launches, and campaigns, including pre- and post-event communications.
- Ensure compliance with donor branding, acknowledgement, and visibility requirements across communication materials and activities.
- Monitor communication performance, evaluate audience engagement, and prepare regular reports.
- Support crisis communication and reputational risk management, and coordinate with internal teams and external communication partners.
