This is a full-time, remote position. However, we prioritize applicants from Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Malang, and surrounding areas.

WasteX is a one-stop waste-to-value solution for agricultural producers and farms in Southeast Asia. We help our clients utilize biomass waste, improve productivity, and generate additional income through our proprietary equipment and supporting services.

We are looking for a Communications and Design Associate. This role requires a creative, energetic, dedicated, and detail-oriented person who can manage multiple tasks.
Responsibilities
- Depending on skill set, this individual will assist with communications and design tasks including, but not limited to:
- Photo and video editing for content creation
- Management of the company’s social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook), such as posting content and engaging with the audience
- Work closely with Digital Marketing Manager to develop content plans and strategies
- Evaluating social media posts and making improvements in each platforms
- Content creation of press releases, social media posts, and other marketing materials
- Provide support for media relations
- Other communications and administrative support tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Recent graduates (graduated within the past year) with backgrounds in journalism, communications, or other humanities/liberal arts programs are encouraged to apply provided they can effectively communicate science-related topics.
- Experience in digital and social media marketing and/or strategic planning
- Have an interest in digital platforms, particularly in social media
- Fluency in English and Indonesian, both written and spoken
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously; excellent time management, analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; ability to work independently
