About Us
Cafe Dasa Sanur is proud to be part of Pulau Projects, a Bali-based hospitality collective crafting timeless experiences and meaningful spaces rooted in people, culture, and connection. Driven by local talent, shaped by Bali, and shared with the world, we are now building our dream pre-opening team for our newest cafe concept in Sanur.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and eager-to-learn Commis to join our kitchen family and help us deliver exceptional culinary experiences from day one.
Job Description
- Mise en Place: Accurately measure, chop, and prepare ingredients according to the recipes and standards set by the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef.
- Service: Assist in cooking and plating dishes efficiently during service hours, ensuring consistency and presentation.
- Pre-Opening Duties: Help the kitchen team organize newly delivered equipment, clean and set up kitchen sections, and participate in recipe dry-runs before the Grand Opening.
- Hygiene & Safety: Clean and sanitize work stations, kitchen tools, and equipment continuously to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Inventory Control: Properly store food ingredients, practice FIFO (First In, First Out), and report any low stock items to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Experience: Have at least 1 year of experience as a Commis/Cook in a Cafe or Restaurant (fresh graduates from Culinary/Hospitality schools with strong internship experience are welcome to apply).
- Skills: Possess basic culinary skills, proper knife-handling techniques, and a solid understanding of kitchen hygiene practices.
- Attitude: Highly motivated, eager to learn, and ready to take feedback to improve your skills.
- Teamwork: A team player with a positive attitude who can stay focused and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility & Location: Flexible with scheduling (shifts, weekends, and holidays) and currently based in Bali (preferably near Sanur or Denpasar).
