The Collection Supervisor oversees a team of collection agents, ensuring timely recovery of overdue accounts and adherence to legal and company policies. This role includes managing daily collection operations, developing strategies to improve collection rates, and handling escalated customer issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the collection team, set performance goals, and provide training and feedback.
- Monitor and improve collection efforts, ensuring compliance with laws and company standards.
- Analyze collection data, prepare reports, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve customer disputes.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., finance, legal) to ensure smooth collection processes.
- Continuously review and improve collection processes.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of collection experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of collection laws and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and collection software.
