About the role
As a Chief Warehouse (Frozen Product) at PT Samsung SDS Global SCL Indonesia, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's frozen food product warehouse in Pulo Gadung, Jakarta. This is a contract role, with the opportunity to contribute to the strategic objectives of the organisation and make a significant impact on the company's logistics and distribution capabilities.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the effective and efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring all frozen food products are stored, processed and distributed in accordance with relevant regulations and company policies
- Develop and implement warehouse management strategies to optimise space utilisation, inventory control and order fulfilment
- Oversee the receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping of frozen food products to meet customer demands
- Monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Manage and develop the warehouse team, providing training, mentoring and guidance to ensure high levels of productivity and customer service
- Ensure the warehouse operates in compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align warehouse operations with broader supply chain objectives
What we're looking for
- Experienced (5+ years) in a warehouse management role within the frozen products industry
- Strong understanding of warehouse management processes, including inventory control, order fulfilment and distribution
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and data analysis tools to drive operational improvements
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations in the warehousing and logistics industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
