Job Description:
As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to company standards and recipes
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet standards
- Monitor mise en place and kitchen preparation before service hours
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen
- Control food waste and assist in stock management
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours
- Support and train all the kitchen staff when needed
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients (FIFO system)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie, or proven high performance as a Demi Chef de Partie
- Strong experience in Japanese cuisine
- Good to handle and operate grill stations, especially Yakitori and Robatayaki
- Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Able to maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Leadership ability to manage a kitchen section independently
- Disciplined, responsible, and detail-oriented
