What we're looking for:
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a similar role within Japanese restaurants or the hospitality industry
- Solid understanding of fundamental Japanese cooking techniques (sushi, sashimi, grilling, and tempura)
- Ability to maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation in line with company standards
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic leadership skills with the ability to support and guide junior kitchen team members
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and passionate about Japanese cuisine
- Willingness to work on a shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays
