Deskripsi pekerjaan Center Manager/ Center Head/ Kepala Daycare Junior Jamboree Daycare

JCOME LEAD, GROW, AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH US!

At Junior Jamboree Daycare, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, loved, understood, supported, and excited to grow.

We are looking for a warm, capable, and inspiring Center Head who is ready to lead our daycare, nurture our team, build meaningful relationships with families, and bring the Junior Jamboree values to life every day.

This is not simply an administrative or supervisory role. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, understands their individual needs, enjoys helping people grow, and knows how to turn standards and values into a joyful, well-managed, and trusted daycare experience.

As the Center Head, you will become the heart of our branch—the person who helps children thrive, parents feel at ease, and the entire team work together with purpose.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Center Head, you will lead the overall quality and performance of the daycare branch.

• Lead and take responsibility for the overall performance of the daycare branch.

• Ensure every child feels safe, comfortable, cared for, and understood.

• Ensure every child’s care, emotional, developmental, and learning needs are met.

• Maintain appropriate child-to-caregiver ratios and active supervision throughout the day.

• Bring our Asah, Asih, and Asuh philosophy to life in daily practice.

• Apply the Montessori philosophy in the environment, routines, activities, and interactions with children.

• Manage Montessori classrooms and ensure the prepared environment and learning materials are used appropriately.

• Monitor children’s development and ensure developmental concerns receive proper follow-up.

• Review the quality of classroom activities, child observations, and progress reports.

• Guide and develop the Deputy Center Head, Class Leaders, Caretakers, and Helpers.

• Provide coaching, feedback, evaluation, and clear direction to the team.

• Ensure procedures, child protection standards, and operational standards are consistently followed.

• Build warm, open, and professional relationships with parents.

• Handle parents’ questions, concerns, feedback, and complaints with care and confidence.

• Conduct assessments for children and families before enrollment.

• Evaluate whether a family’s needs and expectations align with Junior Jamboree’s services and values.

• Prepare the weekly meal plan based on menu options provided by Head Office.

• Manage the branch budget, purchasing, supplies, inventory, assets, facilities, and operational needs.

• Identify problems early and ensure every issue has a clear action, person in charge, and deadline.

• Report incidents, risks, operational concerns, and important developments honestly and on time.

• Ensure the branch runs smoothly without depending on the Owner’s daily involvement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

We would love to meet you if you:

• Hold at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Education, Educational Management, or a related field.

• Have experience leading a team, preferably in a daycare, preschool, school, early childhood center, or family-focused service.

• Understand child development from birth to six years old.

• Live by the Montessori philosophy and are able to manage a Montessori classroom.

• Have excellent communication skills.

• Genuinely care about children and enjoy understanding each child as an individual.

• Can lead, guide, coach, and develop a team.

• Have the willingness and ability to continuously develop yourself.

• Are able to lead yourself, manage priorities, remain accountable, and work consistently without constant supervision.

• Can manage people, parents, operations, administration, budgets, facilities, and branch needs.

• Feel confident making decisions based on real conditions and the best interests of the child.

• Can communicate directions, feedback, and corrections clearly, calmly, and respectfully.

• Follow problems through until they are properly resolved.

• Are honest, accountable, open to feedback, and comfortable reporting problems as they happen.

• Can work independently without waiting for constant instructions or reminders.

• Are comfortable using digital applications, reporting systems, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace.

• Are willing to work in Sunter, North Jakarta.

• Are preferably willing to stay in the on-site accommodation provided.

Lived experience as a mother will be considered a valuable plus, as it may bring additional insight into children’s daily needs, parents’ concerns, and the importance of trust in childcare.

However, being a mother is not a requirement. What matters most is your ability to understand children with empathy, professionalism, and responsibility.

YOU MIGHT BE THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR IF

• Seeing children grow brings you genuine joy.

• You believe children should be understood, not simply controlled.

• You can be warm and nurturing while still setting clear boundaries.

• You enjoy building teams and helping others improve.

• You actively work on becoming a better leader and a better version of yourself.

• You can manage yourself before managing others.

• You take initiative and do not wait for problems to become emergencies.

• You are comfortable making decisions and taking responsibility for them.

• You believe strong systems and a caring culture can exist together.

• You want to create a daycare experience that families can truly trust.

• You are excited to lead with heart, purpose, structure, and high standards.

• You want your work to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

THIS ROLE MAY NOT BE THE RIGHT FIT IF

• You prefer doing everything yourself instead of leading and developing a team.

• You wait for instructions before handling routine operational problems.

• You stop after reminding someone without checking whether the issue has been resolved.

• You avoid giving difficult feedback or taking corrective action.

• You hide problems because you want everything to appear fine.

• You struggle to manage your own priorities, commitments, or responsibilities.

• You are uncomfortable communicating with parents.

• You see this position mainly as an administrative job.

• You do not have a strong interest in children, education, or child development.
