About the role
We are seeking an experienced Car Audio Mechanic to join our automotive team in Tangerang, Banten. This is a hands-on technical role where you will specialise in the installation, maintenance, repair and customisation of car audio systems. You will work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain car audio systems including speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, head units and related components
- Diagnose audio system faults and malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
- Perform custom installations and modifications to vehicle audio systems according to customer specifications and requirements
- Remove and replace dashboard components, trim panels and other vehicle parts to access audio equipment
- Test audio systems following installation or repair to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used and time spent on each job
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to customers regarding audio system options and upgrades
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised and safe in accordance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with other team members to meet deadlines and maintain service quality
What we're looking for
- Proven experience working as a car audio mechanic or in a similar automotive technical role
- Strong knowledge of car audio systems, wiring, electrical components and installation techniques
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment used in audio system assessment and troubleshooting
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail when working with precision components
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams and installation guides accurately
- Good understanding of vehicle safety systems and precautions when working on electrical installations
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive audio installation or electrical systems are advantageous
- Familiarity with modern car audio brands and advanced audio technologies is desirable
