Buyer – Watches & Glasses Luxury Brand Retail
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market intelligence and competitor benchmarking within the Watches and Glasses segment to identify trends, pricing strategies, and assortment opportunities.
- Develop and manage product assortment strategies aligned with brand positioning, customer preferences, and seasonal trends.
- Lead purchasing activities including vendor selection, negotiation, order placement, and delivery follow-up to ensure optimal stock availability and margin achievement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with luxury brands, suppliers, and principals to secure exclusive products, favorable terms, and strategic partnerships.
- Monitor inventory performance, including stock turnover, aging, and replenishment planning, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing obsolescence.
- Collaborate with Visual Merchandising and Retail teams to ensure premium in-store presentation, product storytelling, and impactful promotional displays.
- Analyze sales performance and customer insights to drive data-based decisions on product selection, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Ensure all buying activities comply with company policies, brand guidelines, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Mandarin/ Cantonese (Mandatory)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Buying/Merchandising, preferably in Watches and Glasses Luxury Brand Retail.
- Strong understanding of luxury consumer behavior, premium product positioning, and brand management.
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to manage high-value transactions and supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools; ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- High attention to detail, with strong commercial awareness and aesthetic sense aligned with luxury standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Solid understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and retail systems.
- Strong business ethics and compliance mindset, particularly in handling high-value luxury goods.
