Job Summary
The Business Secretary plays a crucial role in ensuring the company’s compliance with corporate governance, regulatory requirements, and administrative tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of corporate laws and business administration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Governance & Compliance
Ensure the company complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and file necessary statutory documents with government agencies.
Maintain up-to-date company records, including licenses, permits, and agreements.
Assist in board meetings, ensuring proper documentation of minutes and resolutions.
2. Administrative & Secretarial Support
Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
Handle correspondence, reports, and presentations for senior executives.
Manage schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements for executives.
Organize company meetings, record minutes, and distribute action points.
3. Communication & Liaison
Act as the primary liaison between the company and regulatory bodies.
Communicate with shareholders, board members, and stakeholders as required.
Handle confidential information and ensure company data security.
4. Business Operations Support
Assist in developing company policies and procedures.
Support financial and HR teams in compliance matters.
Monitor company filings, renewals, and compliance deadlines.
5. Legal & Risk Management
Keep updated with changes in corporate laws and advise the management.
Ensure company decisions comply with legal and financial obligations.
Manage company contracts, ensuring compliance with legal terms.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Corporate Governance, or a related field.
Skills:
Strong understanding of corporate laws and regulations.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Language Skills:
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Additional language proficiency is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Corporate Governance or Business Law.
Experience in handling international business compliance.
