Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to support Nobank's business growth by acquiring organisations, business entities, and community-based users for Nobank's services.

This role will focus on prospecting, pitching, onboarding, and activating potential clients who need solutions for payment collection, fund disbursement, and financial record management.

The ideal candidate has experience in banking, fintech, payment, SaaS, merchant acquisition, or B2B sales, and is comfortable approaching new clients, explaining financial products, and managing sales pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

● Identify and prospect potential businesses, organisations, communities, SMEs, startups that can use Nobank's services.

● Build and manage a pipeline of potential clients, partners, and organisations.

● Conduct outreach through WhatsApp, email, phone calls, LinkedIn, referrals, communities, and offline networking.

● Present Nobank's product offering, including business accounts for payment collection, disbursement for fund transfer and payout needs and cash management for operational money movement.

● Understand client pain points related to collections, payouts, reconciliation, and financial administration.

● Develop simple proposals, commercial offers, and product presentations for potential clients.

● Follow up leads from first contact until onboarding and activation.

● Coordinate with product, operations, and technology teams to support client onboarding.

● Maintain accurate pipeline records using spreadsheet or CRM tools.

● Monitor competitor activity, fintech trends, and potential market opportunities.

● Provide weekly reports on leads, meetings, onboarding progress, blockers, and market feedback.


Requirements

Must-Have

● Minimum 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, partnership, merchant acquisition, relationship officer, or account executive roles.

● Preferably has experience in banking, fintech, payment gateway, PPOB, SaaS, lending, digital banking, or B2B platform.

● Basic understanding of financial services, payments, virtual accounts, disbursement, transfer, settlement, or digital banking ecosystem.

● Proven ability to generate leads, approach prospects, and close new clients.

● Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

● Comfortable doing cold outreach, follow-up, client meetings, and product pitching.

● Able to manage a sales pipeline and prepare simple reports.

● Target-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a startup environment.

● Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

● Familiarity with Google Sheets, CRM tools, presentation decks, and basic sales tracking.

Nice-to-Have

● Existing network in SMEs, startups, communities, cooperatives, foundations, associations, schools, or business organisations.

● Experience selling financial products, cash management, payment solutions, merchant services, or SaaS products.

● Experience working in bank sales, fintech sales, payment partnership, or merchant acquisition.

● Understanding of APIs, embedded finance, payment infrastructure, or B2B fintech products.

● Ability to identify partnership channels for scalable user acquisition.
