AIMSIS helps schools and education foundations reduce administrative work through academic management, parent applications, tuition billing and payments, admissions, and computer-based testing.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager who can build relationships with school decision-makers, personally close deals, and improve the performance of a small sales team.
You will combine direct selling, existing-account development, and team leadership, working closely with company leadership, product, and engineering.
This role is based in Meruya, West Jakarta, combining office attendance with school visits and travel as required.
In this role, you will:
- Develop business opportunities with private schools and education foundations, particularly those operating multiple school units.
- Understand prospects’ operational challenges, requirements, budgets, approval processes, and purchasing timelines.
- Build relationships with foundation boards, principals, finance teams, academic leaders, and IT stakeholders.
- Lead the sales process from discovery and demonstrations through proposals, negotiation, signing, and implementation handover.
- Protect renewals and identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
- Prepare proposals with internally confirmed scope, pricing, timelines, and delivery commitments.
- Maintain an evidence-based pipeline and forecast in Pipedrive, including expected invoicing dates.
- Coach sales team members through account reviews, conversation practice, proposal feedback, and weekly coaching.
- Collaborate with technical colleagues to deliver relevant demonstrations and confirm solution feasibility.
- Develop referrals, partnerships, and relationships across school and foundation networks.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least four years of experience in consultative B2B sales.
- Has personally closed sales to schools, education foundations, or other educational institutions.
- Can explain their individual contribution to winning and expanding accounts.
- Understands institutional purchasing processes involving multiple stakeholders.
- Can conduct discovery, communicate business value, prepare proposals, handle objections, and negotiate.
- Has experience coaching salespeople or leading a small team.
- Uses CRM consistently to document opportunity values, stages, risks, and next actions.
- Communicates professionally in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Is willing to visit schools and travel when required.
Experience selling SaaS, ERP, school-management systems, or EdTech solutions, together with an established professional network in education, is an advantage.
Your priorities during the first 90 days will include:
- Learning AIMSIS’s products, customers, and commercial processes.
- Establishing account priorities, a renewal calendar, and customer expansion plans.
- Ensuring priority opportunities have clear needs, decision-makers, value assumptions, and dated next actions.
- Establishing a consistent forecasting and coaching routine.
- Advancing opportunities through documented proposals, solution evaluations, negotiations, and purchasing decisions.
Our selection process includes a sales experience interview, a simulated buyer conversation, a coaching exercise, and reference checks.
When applying, briefly describe one sale you personally closed to a school or education foundation and one example of coaching a salesperson. Explain your contribution and the outcome. Customer names may be anonymized.
