Job description for Business Development Lead (Supplier Acquisition) at Seek Sophie
- Build strong pipeline to acquire activities operators for the Seek Sophie platform using various channels (email, WhatsApp, IG, etc); understand their offerings, business models and fit within the platform
- Help to assess business need and take initiative to build out new categories
- Prepare pitch materials, negotiate and draft contracts to achieve a win-win partnership
- Highly adaptable and comfortable with dealing with micro, small and medium sized businesses in providing information and consultation on how Seek Sophie can help to grow their business
- Highly resourceful and self-motivated to achieve acquisition targets both individually and collaboratively as a team
- Take full ownership of sourcing and reporting of acquisition pipeline
- Optimistic and a desire to make a positive impact in the world
- University degree with good track record
- 1 – 5 years in business development, account management, sales, or related field preferably with a platform or e-commerce company
- Excellent business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to close
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key accounts and partners
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Highly motivated, comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to thrive and navigate ambiguous situations, act decisively and problem-solve in a logical and coherent manner
