We’re looking for a curious, proactive, and eager-to-learn Business Development Intern to help bring TimTumbuh’s HR services to more growing businesses.
You’ll work alongside our team to research potential clients, start conversations, understand their people challenges, and support the sales process. If you’re interested in both business and HR, this is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in selling services that solve real problems.
What You’ll Be Up To
- Research potential clients and build prospect lists, focusing on growing businesses that could benefit from our HR services.
- Support outreach and follow-ups through email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, networking, and inbound inquiries.
- Join client discovery meetings to learn about their people challenges, take notes, and help identify relevant services.
- Help prepare pitches and proposals for recruitment, employment contracts and work regulations, payroll, and people development services.
- Support the sales process by arranging meetings, tracking next steps, and assisting with proposal revisions and client follow-ups under the team’s guidance.
- Keep the sales pipeline organized by updating prospect information, conversation notes, and follow-up schedules.
- Share market insights from research and client conversations to help improve our outreach and service offerings.
- Work toward agreed activity goals, such as prospect research, outreach, and follow-ups, while contributing to the team’s sales targets.
What We’re Looking For
- A final-year student or fresh graduate interested in business development, sales, consulting, or HR.
- Clear communication skills and willingness to initiate conversations with potential clients.
- Curiosity about how businesses operate and the people challenges they face.
- Willingness to learn the basics of recruitment, employment administration, payroll, and people development.
- Proactive and organized, with the ability to follow through on tasks and keep track of details.
- Comfortable receiving feedback, handling rejection, and improving your approach.
- Interested in using AI tools for research, prospecting, and drafting, with attention to checking accuracy.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in internships, campus organizations, sponsorship outreach, partnerships, sales, or client-facing projects.
- Basic knowledge of HR or exposure to small and medium-sized businesses.
- Familiarity with Google Sheets, presentation tools, or CRM platforms.
- Experience creating pitch decks or simple proposals.
