Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous, self-motivated and ambitious Business Development Executive to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and onboarding new merchants to expand Giftano's offerings. Your strengths lie in executing, organising, problem-solving and communicating. You thrive working independently to deliver successful results and are a highly conscientious and structured person with a combined “hunter/farmer” personality. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our brand partners, ensuring they are fully integrated and satisfi ed with our platform.
You excel in a fast-paced startup environment, with the natural ability to act effi ciently on quick changes and handle a variety of unforeseen challenges from time to time. You will report to the Marketing & Partnerships Manager to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive merchant acquisition and foster long-term partnerships, contributing to the overall growth and success of Giftano.
Responsibilities
● Identify, target and engage potential merchants & brands to integrate with Giftano’s gifting solution.
● Conduct market research to understand industry trends and identify opportunities for new partnerships.
● Develop and implement strategies to attract and acquire new merchants.
● Handle daily CRM data entry to support lead tracking, follow-ups, and sales performance insights.
● Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing merchants.
● Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new merchants.
● Provide ongoing client support to merchants, addressing any issues and ensuring their satisfaction with Giftano's services.
● Collaborate with the marketing team to promote new merchant partnerships and drive customer engagement.
● Track and report on acquisition metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement on a weekly basis.
● Proactively communicate business needs to other company functions.
Requirements
● 1-2 years of Sales or Account management experience, preferably in any internet/software/e-commerce company
● Digital native and profi cient with MS Offi ce / Google Suite
● Experience with using CRM.
● Attention to detail is crucial.
● Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
● Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
● Resilient, resourceful, and goal-driven.
● Ability to handle objections and turn rejections into opportunities.
