Biology Teacher (Cambridge IGCSE)

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Biology Teacher (Cambridge IGCSE) based in Makassar.

Position Overview

The appointed candidate will be responsible for delivering the Cambridge IGCSE Biology curriculum with clarity, depth, and academic rigor. This role requires a strong commitment to academic excellence, effective pedagogy, and the ability to inspire students to develop critical thinking and a genuine interest in the sciences.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver well-structured and engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Biology syllabus
Prepare students effectively for external examinations, ensuring strong academic outcomes
Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment strategies
Monitor, assess, and report student progress in a timely and professional manner
Foster a positive, disciplined, and supportive learning environment
Contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and school-wide initiatives
Participate actively in professional development and school activities

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Biology or a closely related field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience
Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Biology is highly preferred
Strong proficiency in English, both spoken and written
Solid understanding of effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices
Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and commitment to student development
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
