Summary
HonoBono Kissa, part of Chontea & Co., brings the nostalgic charm of the Japanese kissaten to Jimbaran. By day it's a relaxed café built around Hotto Keki, Napolitan pasta and manually brewed coffee; by night it becomes an intimate lounge with classic cocktails, premium whiskey and fine wine, set to jazz and vinyl records. It's a place built around slowing down, listening, sipping and savouring.
As Bartender, you will prepare and serve HonoBono's cocktails, spirits, wine and other beverages to a consistent standard, guide guests through thoughtful recommendations, and help keep the bar running smoothly from open to close.
Job Description
- Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, soft drinks and other beverages to HonoBono's recipe, presentation and portioning standards
- Provide knowledgeable, engaging recommendations based on guest preferences
- Handle bar opening and closing procedures, including cleanliness and organisation of the bar, equipment and glassware
- Monitor beverage inventory, assist with stock receiving and counts, and flag stock needs to the supervisor or manager
- Minimise wastage and follow responsible alcohol service practices and company policy
- Support beverage preparation for events, private functions and special occasions
- Keep up to date on HonoBono's beverage menu, ingredients, recipes and current promotions
- Work closely with the kitchen and service team, handling guest requests and concerns professionally and escalating when needed
Requirements
- Previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant, bar, hotel or lounge
- Good knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages
- Strong understanding of bar hygiene, mise en place and service standards
- Good communication skills, a positive attitude and a strong guest-service mindset
- Good English communication skills and a genuine passion for beverages
