Job Summary:
The Barista Manager supports the Head of Bar in overseeing daily bar operations and ensuring high standards of service, quality, and cleanliness. This role involves supervising the bar team, assisting with inventory control, maintaining cost efficiency, and ensuring a positive guest experience. The Assistant Bar Manager acts as the Bar Manager’s representative in their absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist The Bar Manager in overseeing daily bar operations
- Supervise bar staff and ensure smooth service during operational hours
- Prepare and serve beverages according to company standards and recipes
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and ordering supplies
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and organization of the bar area at all times
- Train and support bar staff on beverages preparation and customer service standards
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally
- Ensure all drinks are served consistently with quality standards
- Support the development of new beverages menus and promotions
- Assist in controlling costs, minimizing waste, and maintaining proper portioning
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company regulations
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient operations
- Help create staff schedules and manage team performance when required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in F&B, preferably as a Assistant Bar Manager/Barista Manager
- Knowledge of coffee, beverages, smoothies, and health drinks is an advantage
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and under pressure
- Good understanding of customer service and hospitality standards
- Experience handling stock inventory and ordering processes
- Good in English (spoken and written)
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Familiar with espresso machines and beverages equipment maintenance
- Physically fit and able to stand for long working hours
