WE ARE HIRING: Baker
For New Cafe Opening in Jakarta Selatan
Qualifications:
1. Education & Experience
- Minimum High School / Vocational School graduate, majoring in Culinary/Baking preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Baker in a bakery, cake shop, or coffee shop
- Proven experience in making cakes, pastries, bread, and bakery products is a must
2. Skills & Knowledge
- Expert in cake decoration, sponge, chiffon, layer cake, and custom cake techniques
- Skilled in bread and pastry production: croissant, Danish, sourdough, cookies, etc.
- Able to develop new cake and bakery menu according to trends
- Understand recipe standardization, portion control, and food cost/HPP calculation
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Proficient in using bakery equipment: oven, mixer, proofer, etc.
3. Character & Others
- Detail-oriented, creative, and has a good sense of taste and presentation
- Disciplined, responsible, and able to work with tight deadlines
- Able to work in a team and under pressure
- Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Passionate about baking and cake art
- Candidates living near the coffee shop area are preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Produce and bake various types of cakes, bread, and pastries according to SOP and quality standards
- Decorate cakes for display and special orders to maintain visual appeal
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and portion for all bakery products
- Monitor and control raw material stock, and assist with purchasing
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area and all equipment
- Collaborate with barista and FOH team to support daily coffee shop operations
